Here's the funny thing with this one. It's a moonrise, and I painted it in broad daylight. I never paint at night. I don't like the dark.

I painted this like I was looking at Earth from far away.

Inside out. Outer space colors. That blue spectrum that reads like oceans before it reads like anything else.

I kept thinking about the moment when “on the horizon” meant hope -
