So I did what made more sense. I made a garden that couldn’t die on me.

This one grows the way some things do when no one is policing them. Sideways. Wild. A little unruly. Better for it.

I painted this like I was looking at Earth from far away.

Inside out. Outer space colors. That blue spectrum that reads like oceans before it reads like anything else.

I kept thinking about the moment when “on the horizon” meant hope -
